Who knows how long it's been since I submitted anything... But at least I have some stuff to upload now since it's nearing the end of the school year and I get to take home the stuff I've been doing in my Art 1 class.
Anyways, this is part of a series of 3 drawings. The assignment was to find and copy an interesting composition from a coloring book illustration page and use 3 specific styles to color it. It was from an alphabet wildlife coloring book (the E page... whoever can name the animals gets a cookie! ) The colors are supposed to be abstract. And the blue thing in the background is part of an elephant, which explains the attempted wrinkliness.
It's rather large so I had to scan it in 3 sections and piece it together in PS. Thank god for PS, I never would have been able to upload anything bigger than about 9x12 without it. I'll upload the others later, and I also have a cool papier mache mask to upload if I can get my temperamental camera to cooperate with me.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
